Biography

Regina Handoko is one of Indonesia’s most talked about sopranos in her generation with powerful stage presence and impressive high notes. She took vocal lessons with several famous classical singers such as Catherine W. Leimena, Binu D. Sukaman, Joseph Kristanto Pantioso, etc; had a vocal guidance from Towako Sato Schollhorn in Freiburg, Germany; and achieved her Vocal Diploma in Music Performance from Trinity College Music London In Singapore. She also achieved her Harp Diploma in Music Performance from Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music, London.

She won 1st prize of “Vienna International Music Competition” in Vienna, Austria (2019) and 2nd Prize of “New York Classical Music Awards International Competition” in New York, USA (2020), 3rd prize of “London International Music Conmpetition”, UK (2022). She performed in Wiener Musikverein- Vienna and Carnegie Hall- New York.

As a Soprano, she performed in many concerts and she was also cast as the leading role in classical operas. As a harpist, She performed with many famous orchestras in Indonesia, such as Twilite Orchestra, Jakarta City Philharmonic Orchestra, Jakarta Concert Orchestra, Bandung Philharmonic Orchestra, Jakarta Symphonia Orchestra, Jakarta Sinfonietta Orchestra etc.

In 2020, she released 2 singles “Lascia Ch’io Pianga” composed by George Friderich Handel, and “Lord I Come to You”, by Elvi Tjahjadi. In May 2021, she released 1 new single “Ave Maria” composed by Giulio Caccini.
